Welcome to Fry Craze!
Hey there! I’m Brittany Coleman, the founder and flavor explorer behind Fry Craze. If you’re anything like me, you believe great food doesn’t just fill your stomach—it brings a spark of joy to every moment. My philosophy? Recipes should be approachable, foolproof, and, above all, fun. Every crisp, golden bite that comes out of my kitchen is a celebration of curiosity and creativity.
Over the years, my passion for all things fried and fabulous has led me to some incredible places: my recipes have won local cooking competitions, I’ve been featured on several food blogs and recipe roundups, and I’ve had the joy of collaborating with brands like Lodge Cast Iron and Idaho Potatoes. I’ve also been honored as a guest judge at the Southern Food Festival two years running. Through it all, the most important lesson I’ve learned is this: food isn’t just about what’s on your plate—it’s about the memories you make and the smiles you share around the table.
At Fry Craze, I pour that belief into every recipe and every tip I share. Thank you for stopping by and joining me on this crispy, crave-worthy adventure!

How It All Started
My love affair with cooking began at age eight, standing on a stool next to my grandmother as she made her legendary Sunday fried chicken. The sizzling sound of oil, the delicious smell that filled the house, and the pride in nailing that perfect crunch—those memories are at the heart of Fry Craze. In high school, I hosted after-school fry parties, serving up homemade fries and creative dips for friends. Those afternoons proved that food has a magic way of bringing people together and turning everyday moments into celebrations.
As I grew older, my curiosity led me to try new gadgets, methods, and ingredients—from air fryers to classic Dutch ovens. What I love most is taking familiar favorites and adding a fun twist, whether it’s a bold spice blend or an unexpected topping. I started documenting my experiments in a spiral notebook, then moved online so I could share them with more people who love delicious shortcuts and bold flavors. This blog is my way of sharing the journey, the mishaps, and the victories with fellow food lovers everywhere.
More than anything, I want Fry Craze to be a place where anyone—no matter their experience level—can find inspiration, practical tips, and the confidence to fry up something amazing. Because great food is for everyone!
Why You Can Trust Me
With over 12 years of hands-on kitchen experience, I’ve worn just about every apron there is: from home cook and party host to professional recipe tester and content creator. My culinary background includes completing the Home Cooks Mastery course in 2016, freelancing as a food stylist, and running local cooking classes in Nashville. Each of these roles taught me the importance of precision, creativity, and hospitality.
Every recipe on Fry Craze is tested (and tasted!) multiple times before it lands on the blog. I’m a stickler for accuracy, so I document each step, tweak seasonings, and ensure every method works in real kitchens with real schedules. Whether I’m using my trusty cast iron skillet or trying the latest air fryer, quality and taste always come first. I want you to feel confident that what you see here is achievable and absolutely delicious.
Photography is a big part of how I share my kitchen adventures. I shoot every dish in natural light, aiming for honest, mouthwatering photos that show exactly what you can expect. No fancy filters—just real food and real results. And when I’m not recipe testing, you’ll find me exploring farmers’ markets, attending cooking workshops, and nerding out over food history podcasts.
My appetite for learning never stops. I’m constantly researching new techniques, studying culinary trends, and experimenting with global flavors to keep Fry Craze fresh and exciting. Outside the kitchen, I enjoy hiking, sketching, and hosting themed dinner nights with friends—each experience adds a sprinkle of inspiration to my work.
You can trust that Fry Craze is built on passion, practice, and an obsession with making great food accessible to all. I can’t wait for you to join me in the kitchen!
